My Botanical Illustrations capture the raw organic beauty displayed in nature, I am very fortunate to live by the sea, on an absolutely exquisite coastline in Cornwall. The ever changing light and staggeringly beautiful plants and wildlife never cease to inspire me.
The rich diversity of some of the subjects I have Illustrated over the years, have taken me on some rather fascinating journeys, both geographically and academically. After many years of my artworks being tucked away in my studio, for the first time I am making them available to a wider audience.
Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you enjoy looking at my Botanical Artworks.

Sarah focuses on botanical subject matter and works extensively across a range of applications from publishing to research. She approaches her work with intellectual curiosity and academic scrutiny with theme and adherence to scientific accuracy being of paramount importance. Sarah employs a visual language that has great aesthetic sensibility, her traditional paintings rendered with a unique combination of Victorian Age stylisation in a 21st century context. I am extremely proud to be able to include Sarah’s work in the revised edition of my book ‘Illustration: A Theoretical and Contextual Perspective’ (Bloomsbury) to be published early 2017.Professor Alan Male
