This is a wonderful opportunity to take a wander around the exquisite gardens and after lunch you are welcome to stay until close.
Whats included in your workshop voucher
The workshop begins at 10am which dependent on the weather and seasonal changes, we either meet in the greenhouse stacked with exotic plants, and the most wonderful light. However if the the Cornish mizzle and cooler days prevail then we take to the warmer comforts of the café, with a log burner, and view across the gardens.
A brief introduction by Sarah Jane Humphrey, before beginning with a warm up session. This is a great way to get back into drawing if it’s been a while, and for the complete novice a good start to learning the basics. As for the accomplished artist, a chance to work on your drawing skills and maybe challenge your techniques at your own pace. Throughout the workshop you will explore a host of different manners in which to best approach your botanical artwork.
To compliment each session, there will be a drink, followed by a delicious lunch made with ingredients from the Potager and locally sourced produce. Each month we will explore a different genre of Botanical Illustration.
Your demonstrations and advice were so well received and it was noticeable that when we all set down to do our own drawings the silence with the concentration was amazing you could have heard a pin drop
