‘Samphire and Lichen ‘ is rendered in predominantly pencil crayon although I have also used gouache on this illustration. Captured by the beauty of these wonderful tones and textures of natural coastal elements I worked from photographs I took on the Isles of Scilly. My main aim was to reproduce this piece in it’s true naturally composed form in as much detail as possible.
